In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Abu Asim Azmi of SP won in this constituency beating Vithal Govind Lokare of SS by a margin of 25,613 votes which was 17.86% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Abu Asim Azmi of SP was the winner in this seat beating Suresh Krushnarao Patil of SS by a margin of 9,937 votes which was 7.77% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Abu Asim Azmi of SP won this seat defeating Syed Ahmad of INC by a margin of 14,117 votes which was 12.36% of the total votes polled for the seat.
