In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Vikas Pandurang Thakre of INC won in this constituency beating Sudhakar Shamrao Deshmukh of BJP by a margin of 6,362 votes which was 03.56% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Deshmukh Sudhakar Shamrao of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Thakre Vikas Pandurang of INC by a margin of 26,402 votes which was 15.16% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Deshmukh Sudhakar Shamrao of BJP won this seat defeating Anees Ahmed of INC by a margin of 1,979 votes which was 1.23% of the total votes polled for the seat.
