In 2014, Santosh Yadav of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Satbir of INLD by a margin of 48,601 votes which was 37.35% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Anita Yadav of INC won this seat defeating Santosh Yadav of BJP by a margin of 973 votes which was 0.91% of the total votes polled for the seat.
