In 2014, Naresh Kaushik of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Rajinder Singh Joon of INC by a margin of 4,882 votes which was 3.69% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Rajinder Singh Joon of INC won this seat defeating Nafe Singh Rathi of INLD by a margin of 19,352 votes which was 21.68% of the total votes polled for the seat.
