According the latest delimitation documents, the extent of 22. Gharaunda Assembly constituency covers the following areas of Karnal district of Haryana: Gharaunda Tehsil; KC Karnal-II, PCs Gogripur, Kambohpura, Kutail and uncha Siwana of Karnal-I KC of Karnal Tehsil.)

Voter turnout

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, the estimated voter turnout in Gharaunda constituency was 71.5%. In 2019, this seat registered a turnout of 66.62%, while it was 81% in 2014 and 75.3% in 2009. The estimated turnout in 2024 was 4.88% compared to the 2019 turnout.

In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Harvinder Kalyan of BJP won in this constituency beating Anil Kumar of INC by a margin of 17,402 votes which was 12.10% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Harvinder Kalyan of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Narender Sangwan of INLD by a margin of 17,883 votes which was 11.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Narender Sangwan of INLD won this seat defeating Varinder Singh Rathore of INC by a margin of 1,660 votes which was 1.39% of the total votes polled for the seat.
