In 2014, Bhai Jai Parkash (JP) of IND was the winner in this seat beating Ram Pal Majra of INLD by a margin of 8,390 votes which was 5.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Rampal Majra of INLD won this seat defeating Tejender Pal Singh of INC by a margin of 9,400 votes which was 7.3% of the total votes polled for the seat.
