Ratia shares its borders with three other Assembly constituencies. Other Haryana Assembly constituencies adjacent to Ratia are: Tohana, Fatehabad, Kalanwali. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Punjab.

There were a total of 2,27,487 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Ratia Assembly constituency, of which 1,18,810 were male, 1,08,670 female and 7 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 2,14,770 registered voters, of which 1,12,651 were male, 1,02,119 female and 0 from the third gender. In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Lakshman Napa of BJP won in this constituency beating Jarnail Singh of INC by a margin of 1,216 votes which was 00.77% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Prof Ravinder Baliala of INLD was the winner in this seat beating Sunita Duggal of BJP by a margin of 453 votes which was 0.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Gian Chand of INLD won this seat defeating Jarnail Singh S/O Hakam Singh of INC by a margin of 3,382 votes which was 2.68% of the total votes polled for the seat.
