In 2014, Randhir Singh Kapriwas of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Satish Yadav of INLD by a margin of 45,466 votes which was 29.66% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Ajay Singh S/O Abhey Singh of INC won this seat defeating Satish S/O Roshan Lal of IND by a margin of 13,288 votes which was 11.03% of the total votes polled for the seat.
