In 2014, Geeta Bhukkal of INC was the winner in this seat beating Sadhu Ram of INLD by a margin of 26,584 votes which was 24.8% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Geeta of INC won this seat defeating Kanta Devi of INLD by a margin of 27,783 votes which was 34.28% of the total votes polled for the seat.
