In 2014, Manohar Lal Khattar of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Jai Parkash Gupta Karnal of IND by a margin of 63,773 votes which was 45.42% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Sumita Singh of INC won this seat defeating Jai Parkash of HJCBL by a margin of 3,731 votes which was 3.68% of the total votes polled for the seat.
